Lucas Buehler, DVM

Lucas Buehler grew up on his family’s farm in Shelby County, Ohio, where they raised pigs and beef cattle and engaged in row crop production. He was actively involved in 4-H and FFA, where he showed market hogs and competed in livestock judging. Lucas always had a passion for working with animals and initially aspired to become a veterinarian to support 4-H animals.

For his undergraduate degree, he attended The Ohio State University, where he studied Animal Sciences. During his time at OSU, he participated in the Dairy Judging Team and worked on various swine research projects. In 2019, he was accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine at Ohio State, where he quickly discovered his passion for production medicine.

Throughout veterinary school, Lucas gained experience at various Four Star offices, swine and poultry production operations, and beef feedlots out west. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 and joined Dr. Minton’s staff at Minton Veterinary Service in Chickasaw, Ohio.

Recently, Lucas and his wife, Emily, purchased a home and farm in Jackson Center, Ohio, allowing Lucas to return to his home county. In his free time, he enjoys working on his farm, participating in outdoor activities, and shooting sporting clays.
