Bill Minton grew up on a small farm in western Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University, where he studied animal nutrition. After completing his studies, he entered the university’s veterinary school and earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1985.
Bill began his career as an associate veterinarian in a large-animal practice in Mercer County, Ohio, and purchased the practice in 1989.
In 2002, he transitioned the practice to focus exclusively on swine consulting, serving clients in Ohio and neighboring states as Minton Veterinary Service LLC.
In 2005, Bill became one of the founding partners of Four Star Veterinary Service.
Today, Minton employs over 60 people, including veterinarians.
"My role as a veterinarian allows me to share knowledge, learn, teach, and make improvements on our clients' farms," he said.
Bill also serves on various advisory boards in Ohio and within the swine industry. He and his wife, Theresa, reside in Maria Stein, Ohio, and they have three grown children and eight grandchildren.
